DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

November 2013, Library of Birmingham

Revelling in the delights of literature, Companis produced a 5-course sensory dining experience over nine floors of Library of Birmingham. Starting with a ‘drink-me potion’ diners were led around the library in a furtive, after hours promenade, finishing with a sculptural dessert which diners wholeheartedly attacked and ate with their hands.

Down the Rabbit Hole was commissioned by Capsule as part of the Library of Birmingham’s Discovery Season, 2013; Menu by Black & Shock; Design by Keith Dodds.

  • Companis was co-founded in 2009 by Kaye Winwood and Sian Tonkin. It was a provocative company whose intention was to bring people together through food and art events, creating bespoke dining experiences to immerse the diner in a fusion of performance, food and spectacle.
