Documentary filmmakers Bluebell Films hired Gulp to create a film to increase awareness of dementia in the Asian community. The space provided the perfect location, the intimate interior was the ideal backdrop for a documentary of this nature.

Earthen Lamp invited me to host their Christmas get-together. I curated a bespoke afternoon of sumptuous sharing platters, followed by a Cotagnata (Italian confectionery) workshop with Mangia! Mangia!’s founder Matt O’Callaghan. A truly unique Christmas experience.

Corporate commission - Dining Experience

Theatre Group Little Earthquake asked me to design a Christmas Dinner to coincide with their Board AGM.

I developed a vegetarian dinner for 10 to celebrate Little Earthquake’s history.

My client was looking for an exclusive event for her and her closest friends, an intimate venue where she could invite them to be her bridesmaids. GULP provided the beautiful backdrop she was seeking. She opted for a The Taste the Jewellery Quarter experience (Afternoon Tea meets Tasting Menu) - which I adapted for this occasion with hues of soft pink, love songs, rose petals and tastes of rose and raspberry.

Private Commission - Dining Experience

I was commissioned by my client to design his birthday meal to share with his closest friends at GULP.

Following an initial consultation I designed a menu on a ‘golden’ theme called ‘Gilding the Oli’. My client trusted me to plan the dinner so that he could experience the evening alongside his guests - with surprise and delight.

Gulp was swathed in gold, diners asked to wear gold, and the menu was peppered with hues of gold throughout.

The delicious menu was scribed in a tongue-in-cheek manner and seasoned with innuendo.
